Vegan Chocolate From Scratch
An easy and simple way to make delicious homemade Vegan Chocolate from scratch with only four ingredients!
Hello, fellow SimpleFitters! We’ve been having so much fun over at our Facebook Group with our Two-Week Plant-Based Cooking Challenge! We are now on day 5!
What’s this challenge? We will be cooking a brand-new plant-based recipe every day for the next two weeks together! All recipes are pantry-friendly, easy to make, and will NOT require hard to find ingredients (because grocery shopping ain’t the same anymore!).
In today’s recipe, I wanted us to make something we don’t normally make at home but somethings that is EXTREMELY easy to make. Vegan Chocolate it is!

You don’t even really a chocolate mold to make this! All you is four ingredients and a few minutes.
The first main ingredient here is Cacao Butter which provides the necessary fat to our chocolate base. You can purchase it on Amazon or grocery stores.
The second key ingredient is either raw unsweetened chocolate, cocoa nibs, or cocoa/cacao powder. I will show you how to make chocolate two ways: with raw chocolate and cocoa powder.

Why would you want to make chocolate from scratch at home?
- It’s very satisfying! I mean, you’re making gourmet chocolate at home!!!
- It’s simple and easy.
- Save money! It’s like a thousand times cheaper to make chocolate home than buy it at the store.
- You have direct control over how much sugar you put in it.
- Zero preservatives.
- Endless customization! Add whatever you like to chocolate. A few options are: nut butter, chopped nuts, dried fruits, and chilis (for that spicy chocolate!).
I think homemade Vegan Chocolate makes excellent gifts around the holidays as well!
